If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Basset Reservoir Number 2. Basset Reservoir Number 2 is usually a rather waterless location; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is ordinarily the driest month. Everybody loves Little Joe Basin; going for a hike on the Hoy Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Yampa River, and the Bull Trail is a fine hiking trail

| | nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Jones Hole Creek is so much fun, and Pablo Spring is a pretty location to pop by while you're at Basset Reservoir Number 2. All through the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 90's at Basset Reservoir Number 2, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. into the 10's. So much fun stuff right next door to Basset Reservoir Number 2, definitely striking. Dinosaur National Monument is a perfect national park, and close by you hit upon the Joe Trail which is a delightful hiking trail.
