     There's good hiking along the Bull and Brown Trail; Big Battlement Dam is a location that is close to Basin Reservoir Number 1. Around Basin Reservoir Number 1 you don’t get a lot of precipitation; during October this area sees the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious location to camp here at Basin Reservoir Number 1 is Spruce Grove Campground, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Delta is a glorious  
   spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
Summertime highs at Basin Reservoir Number 1 generally tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Basin Reservoir Number 1 are in the 10's. The Carson Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close
