    It's always fun to stop by Baron Lake. Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a wonderful spot to get some rest, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Lily Lake Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Kiser Creek Campground is a pleasant place to camp. Having a splendid time at Baron Lake is easy. Eggleston Campground is a great local campground, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the High Foot Trail.
Baron Lake gets
 
   very little rain; during the month of October you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January. While you're here at Baron Lake you can take a hike along the Crag Crest Trail. Lakes? Sure, Barren Lake is in close proximity. High temperatures at Baron Lake all through the summertime are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Baron Lake  
               temperatures descend to the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Delta is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and there are other locations here than Baron Lake, for example Eggleston Lake. Baron Lake is in the vicinity of Barren Dam which is a beautiful spot beyond doubt worth checking out, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Powderhorn.

Crater Lake

Hiked into Crater Lake on 6/23/07. Caught three 12' cutthroat trout, and had a much larger trout strike my lure a couple of times (not hard enough for me to set the hook). Beautiful place, but the mosquitos ate me alive....
