What would winter be without some skiing at Powderhorn, and close by you discover the High Foot Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. You could also visit Barren Lake since you're here at Baron Lake; it's nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Delta, and the Lily Lake       Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable things to do near Baron Lake. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a great place to spend a night or two, and Baron Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Eggleston Campground is a perfect local campground. Around Baron Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; October is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with                  the least amount of precipitation. Nearby lakes? Sure, Eggleston Lake is in the neighborhood of Baron Lake, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Crag Crest Trail. At Baron Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's.
