Tunnel Campground
This has been a favorite vacation/relaxation spot for my family for many years. The popularity has grown and the campground is very busy during the summer months on weekends. There is great stream and lake fishing nearby, plenty of trails for hiking and an evening drive to Long Draw Reservoir is guaranteed to provide sightings of elk and moose. ...

Long Draw Reservoir
A very nice place to go camping, hiking and fishing. The reservoir has an astonishing breathtaking view, nothing like I have ever seen before, yes that beautiful! We went the weekend of July 10th, 2009 the weather during the day is very nice and sunny avg. temp about 75 degrees, the nights however are very cold, dipping into the low 40's and 30's, so be prepared for that, we came with too little of blankets and learned that to be a big mistake. Long draw is located about 15 mi. inland from Hwy 14 just past Chambers, driving into the reservoir looks deceitful because it seems as though you are traveling into the thick of the forest with nothing but trees around, but be patient 15 mi. in you will discover the camp ground, enjoy!...

Browns Park Campground

Drove up from Longmont, sad to see closed even after Memorial day....

Ypsilon Lake
14 miles away
It is a really good 4.9 mile hike, if you want to get a full day of fishing either wake up early and be at the trail head by five in the morning, or you can get a back country permit and stay over night. The fishing here is amazing. The average angler can catch his limit in a couple of hours. You will mostly see colorado cutthroat at an average of 12-14 inches.A wonderful place to fish, I plan on going a couple of times this summer.(Wont be good for fishing til about jun 15 on.    Enjoy!...
