Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a pleasant site to get some rest, and Hesperus Ski Center is a very popular ski area in close proximity. If you're here at Barnard Reservoir, you could go to Fish Creek; unsurprisingly, this is a magnificent region for people who like lakes, Aspen Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood. During the warm days of summer at Barnard Reservoir highs are typically in the 70's,       and throughout the night it cools down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Barnard Reservoir all through the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Barnard Reservoir you can take a hike along the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway, and get covered with water paddling on Dolores River. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. On a splendid day at Barnard                  Reservoir you can take a hike along the Chicken Creek Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Priest Gulch Campground and RV is a delightful place to camp. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Morrison Trail, and after a long day outdoors Dunton Hot Springs is a splendid spot to spend a night or two. Transfer Campground is a great campground here, and don't leave Barnard Reservoir without first paying a visit to Spruce Spring. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Mesa Verde National Park is a national park worth taking a look at.
