If you are in Boulder county it's always a good idea to stop by Barker Reservoir. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Barker Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder Creek - South, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Giggey Lake is just a very short distance away. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Barker Reservoir called the Bolling Gulch Trail, and Hurricane Hill is clearly visible from

| | Barker Reservoir. Barker Reservoir is a location that is quite arid regularly; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Barker Reservoir reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Barker Reservoir temperatures descend to the 0's. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Central City Blackhawk Campground is a tremendous local campground, and after a long day outdoors Alps Boulder Canyon Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant
close by hotel is Best Western Lodge At Nederland, and the Switzerland Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Man, is there lots of cool things to do in the Front Range. Why not camp at Reverends Ridge Campground while you're
here at Barker Reservoir; you're in all probability into lakes, Lakewood Reservoir is one of those close by. So many cool things to do here in the Front Range, too pleasant to be true. If you come at the right time of year, Boulder
Creek - North offers some wonderful whitewater; close by you hit upon the Mount Thorodin Trail which is a great hiking trail. Don't forget to take a great little spree to North Beaver Creek, and if you're here at Barker Reservoir, checking out Castle Rock is a must. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range.
