Do stop by Barker Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. At Barker Reservoir through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Barker Reservoir are in the 0's. Barker Reservoir is located in the Front Range. At Barker Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest.

Camping at Barker Reservoir is good fun, Central City/Blackhawk KOA is a good local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Barker Reservoir; Switzerland Trail is a great local trail. panorama of beautiful Hurricane Hill is available from Barker Reservoir, and get drenched paddling on Boulder Creek - North.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Reverends Ridge Campground is a great place
to camp. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Alps Boulder Canyon Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on
the Mount Thorodin Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Barker Reservoir. Paddling on Boulder Creek - South is so much fun, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bolling Gulch Trail.
Castle Rock is something you
shouldn't miss if you're here at Barker Reservoir, and there's some flowing water close by, North Beaver Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay.
