If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Bar-Bee Lake Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Piney River in a kayak, and you'll possibly meet some people from Edwards here. Skiing at Howelsen Hill is one of those things you just should do, and a good site to camp here at Bar-Bee Lake Reservoir is Stagecoach. Get covered with water paddling on Rock Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Oak Tree Inn Yampa. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Creek is a fine local stream; why not take a refreshing hike along the Muddy Slide Trail.

70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Bar-Bee Lake Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
