This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more amusing things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Lake of the Clouds Trail, and Big Branch is right here at Banjo Lake. A magnificent location to camp here at Banjo Lake is North Crestone Campground, and a quick journey to Middle Fork Cotton Creek is undeniably a great idea. Banjo Lake beyond doubt

Henderson Gulch is a perfect place to go. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Crossover Trail is always a magnificent adventure; if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River.

 | 10 miles away Trail is awful, disappearing and reappearing every now and again. Thorn bushes and trash cover what little trail is easy to navigate. Trail disappears completely before you actually reach the lake. Also it appears that an axe murderer has taken up residence in the upperwoods. Be careful and travel in large groups if you plan to try and make it to the lake. It is easy to get lost so mark your trail well.... |
