     Banjo Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Banjo Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Banjo Lake fall into the 10's. Around Banjo Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through August while  
   January is generally the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Middle Fork Cotton Creek from Banjo Lake is simple, and going for a hike on the Cotton Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at Banjo Lake you could always look at Henderson Gulch. There's so much to do here at Banjo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Creek Campground is a nice site for that.
Man, is there a lot of exciting
 
               things to do near Banjo Lake. De Anza Peak can be spotted from Banjo Lake; Banjo Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, North Crestone Campground is a brilliant local campground. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There are great spots to look at along the Lake of the Clouds Trail; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you need a place to stay AppleLodge Bed And Breakfast is a brilliant choice; Big Branch is a tremendous spot to check out.
While you're here at Banjo Lake, you could also pop by beautiful Balman Reservoir, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Crossover Trail.
