You'll find a lovely lake called Drift Fence Reservoir near Baldy Reservoir, and Dolores River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. At Baldy Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; October is when you get the most rain here while June is regularly the driest month. Go for a hike on the Stoner Stock Trail, and unsurprisingly Geren Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting. Canyon is a good site to go to. There's wonderful hiking along the Stoner Mesa Trail, and Baldy Reservoir is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Emerson Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby. So many
fun things in the vicinity of Baldy Reservoir, truly remarkable. While you're here at Baldy Reservoir, you could also visit delightful Bald Hill Reservoir; if you need a site to stay Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a nice choice. A visit to Mesa Verde National Park is worthwhile, and you can stay the night at Mavreeso Campground.

It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
