This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Water Wheel Inn is a good choice. The warmest time of the year at Bald Mountain Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after       the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Bald Mountain Reservoir plunge into the 10's. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Bald Mountain Reservoir. Commissary Gulch Campground is a good local campground; good hiking is available along the Cureranti Pass Trail. If you get bored of Bald Mountain Reservoir, you could also take a look at nearby Castle Reservoir Number 1, and you can take a little tour to Bald Mountain                  Dam while you're here at Bald Mountain Reservoir. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Gunnison River - North Fork, and the Minnesota Pass Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Bald Mountain Reservoir is not the only place close by, Blue Lake is a close by lake; there's nice hiking along the Through Line Trail. Bald Mountain Reservoir is commonly a quite dry location; October is the wettest month with most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest.
