     Near Bald Hill Reservoir you come across the Stoner Stock Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and swing by Cottonwood Creek it's a glorious site to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Ted Reservoir close to Bald Hill Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake, and a brilliant site to camp here at Bald Hill Reservoir is Emerson Campground. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be. Bald Hill  
   is a peak you can observe from Bald Hill Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Eagle Peak Trail is always a good adventure.
If time allows, Mesa Verde National Park is a national park worth a visit, and Oak Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. If you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some pleasant whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC. This lake is so wonderful. Dunton Hot Springs is
 
               a brilliant spot to get some rest; a great location nearby is Mavreeso Canyon.
Go for a hike on the Stoner Mesa Trail, and why not camp at Mavreeso Campground while you're here at Bald Hill Reservoir. For the period of the warm months here at Bald Hill Reservoir, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bald Hill Reservoir. Bald Hill Reservoir gets very little rain; March is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....
