Near Bald Hill Reservoir you come across the Stoner Stock Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and swing by Cottonwood Creek it's a glorious site to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Ted Reservoir close to Bald Hill Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake, and a brilliant site to camp here at Bald Hill Reservoir is Emerson Campground. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great globe it would be. Bald Hill

| | is a peak you can observe from Bald Hill Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Eagle Peak Trail is always a good adventure. If time allows, Mesa Verde National Park is a national park worth a visit, and Oak Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. If you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some pleasant whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC. This lake is so wonderful. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only.
