Michigan Creek Campground
 | We got ''stuck'' with this campground because all the campgrounds at Jefferson Lake were full. But what a blessing in disguise. This campground does not have water or trash pickup (the water pump is disabled and has a sign that it is ''closed''). And it isn't nearly as close to Jefferson Lake as the other three. But the scenery is beautiful, and you will have a lot more privacy than at the ones by Jefferson Lake. Sites 1 through 4 have lots of trees. Sites 6, 9, 10 and 11 have partial tree coverage. Sites 5, 7, 8, and 12 have few or no trees. There is fishing in nearby Michigan creek. The creek is fairly close by (a few hundred feet or less from all sites. Great campground.... |

Arapahoe Basin
 | 13 miles away 7 PHOTOS Arapahoe Basin has always been known as the legend for its legendary steeps on East Wall and off Pallavicini lift, legendary views from the Continental Divide, and now for a legendary 80% terrain expansion into Montezuma Bowl. Arapahoe Basin will almost double in size this season as we expand into Montezuma Bowl with high alpine groomed runs, bowls, chutes and glades. Arapahoe Basin strongly encourages our guests and employees to ride the free Summit Stage bus or to carpool to the ski area! Riding public transportation and carpooling reduces greenhouse gases and congestion on I-70. It also saves you money on gas, reduces the parking crunch at the ski area, and gives you someone to talk with on the ride up.

Copper Mountain
 | 24 miles away 1 PHOTO ... once a sleepy little day ski area is now one of Colorado's premier year-round destination resorts. In 1997, the resort was purchased by Intrawest - a worldwide leader in resort operations and real estate development.
Now the resort consists of not only an incredible mountain, but multiple villages, hundreds of buildings and a million other tangible, moving pieces. Copper is, and always has been, bigger than the tangible. Copper is about people. It’s about spirit. It’s about attitude, passion, heart, guest loyalty and financial strength. It’s about a place that provides a true connection to nature, adventure, the mountain, the community and the mountain lifestyle, void of any pretense. It’s a place, most of all, intent on allowing guests to push their proverbial ‘play button. ’
