If you need a place to stay Guesthouse Inn Fort Collins is a brilliant choice; you can stay the night at Pawnee - Arapaho National Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Kitchell Dam has good water scenery and it's in close proximity to Baker Lake, and while you're here and you like golf, you can visit Mountain Vista Golf Course. Ramada Inn Fort Collins Co is a glorious place to get some rest, and you're sure to encounter some good       folks from Fort Collins-Loveland here. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Baker Lake is excellent! Don't forget to take a tremendous little tour to Cooper Slough, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Gray Reservoir Number 3. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre River - North Fork, and get wet paddling on Cache La Poudre River. This lake is so wonderful. This is a nice region for folks who like lakes.                  Kitchel Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Baker Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ft Collins N/Wellington KOA. Not much rainfall falls here at Baker Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. For the duration of the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Baker Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
