Meadow Creek Campground is a delightful local campground, and you can run the rapids of White River - South Fork. It is very dried out here at Bailey Lake usually; the month with most of the rain is October; the driest month is January. You could also explore Bar-Bel Lake since you're here at Bailey Lake; it's close by; here at Bailey

If you crave a little side visit, try Langlas Draw; getting to Swede Creek from Bailey Lake is trouble-free. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Bailey Lake Dam if you're here at Bailey Lake, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Fayville Trail. Any time is a good time at Bailey Lake if you love the outdoors. you can take a hike along the Bailey Lake Trail. Why not camp at Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead since you're here at Bailey Lake, and Crooks Park is a nice site. At Bailey Lake all through the long summer days highs are in
the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Bailey Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.

Elk lakes are located about 5 minutes from the wilderness area only 1/2 mile to the parking for jet lakes.... some colorado wild flowers... |

Definatly a 4 wheel drive Jeep Trail but only a few miles from Elk lakes, Jet lake, Shadow Lake, Blair lakes , Crater Lake, Deep lake and bison lake. Lots of Cut throat trout, rainbows and browns.
