In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Bacon Lake is one of them. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - North, and there's always Bacon Lake Dam to stop at close to Bacon Lake. At Bacon Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. For the duration of the warm months at Bacon Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and night lows at Bacon Lake all through the winter usually sink into the 10's. Bacon Lake; Round Mountain Trail is a glorious local trail, and Big Thompson River is a delightful whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Loveland. There's so much to do here at
Bacon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Johnson's Corner Campground is a fine place for that.
Some of the water close by flows, like Dry Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bacon Lake has to offer,
you can camp at Rising Star. This lake is so wonderful. Bacon Lake is not far at all from Fort Collins-Loveland, and Kings Court Motel is a splendid place to get some rest.
