     Don't leave Auto Way Spring Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Twin Spring Trail; lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Royce Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a good choice; there are other sites here than Auto Way Spring Reservoir, for example Corrals Reservoir. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Auto Way Spring Reservoir get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's. Daytime  
   highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Auto Way Spring Reservoir are in the 0's. Go for a hike on the Stoner Mesa Trail, and a great nearby hotel is Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC.
Auto Way Spring Reservoir is a good location of normal rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain while June is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Auto Way Spring Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than
 
               a day at, Mavreeso Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp West Dolores Campground is a delightful spot to do that, and why not head up to Hesperus Ski Center and strap some skis to your feet.
That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Auto Way Spring Reservoir has it all. There's fine hiking along the Spring Creek Trail, and paddling on Dolores River is so much fun. Near Auto Way Spring Reservoir you locate Little Hell Canyon which is a magnificent location to stop at; there's some flowing water nearby, Deer Creek is a stream you can pop by while here.

Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....
