It's always fun to stop by Aurora Rampart Reservoir. Not much rainfall falls here at Aurora Rampart Reservoir; most of the rain falls through May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. for an overnight stay Rock Springs Campground is a great location to camp. Don’t forget to pop by Roxborough Park if you're here at Aurora Rampart Reservoir, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the South Manitou
Park Trail. The Long Hollow Trail is a great hiking trail near Aurora Rampart Reservoir, and if you get bored of Aurora Rampart Reservoir you could also have a look at close by Aurora-Rampart Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
Camping is available at Chatfield, and going for a hike on the Missouri Gulch Trail is always a great adventure.
