At Aubert Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter       at Aubert Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's. That right there is plenty of amusing things already but it goes on, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has it all. If you haven’t been to Colorado National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and wonderful hiking is available along the Gill Creek Trail. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A striking lake like Gobbo Reservoir next to Aubert Reservoir is a                  great location to stop at, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GRAND JUNCTION. Aubert Reservoir is ordinarily a quite dried out site; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Colorado River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Aubert Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Hay Press Campground. The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Rodeway Inn Grand Junction is a good choice; there are plenty of people from Grand Junction here. Johnson Creek flows through this area; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to make out at Aubert Dam in close proximity to Aubert Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
