Pease Point is a glorious site to stop at while in the area, and don't leave Aspen Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Eagle Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Aspen Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, West Dolores Campground is a great location for that, and Mesa Verde National Park is a very good place to check out. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one       place! Aspen Reservoir rules! Cub Spring is always fun to check out; whitewater paddling is splendid on Dolores River. If you came to camp Mavreeso Campground is a good location to do that, and while you're here, you could check out Cub Creek. At Aspen Reservoir throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while Aspen Reservoir                  nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's.
