Mesa Verde National Park is a great national park, unsurprisingly you could also go to Sunshine Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all.       This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a great choice, and Aspen Reservoir is right by the Stoner Mesa Trail. Camping at Mavreeso Campground is always a brilliant experience. Cub Spring is a delightful local attraction; don't forget to take a delightful little visit to Cub Creek. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dolores River; the Eagle Peak                  Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Aspen Reservoir. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's while Aspen Reservoir night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's.
