Dry warm beds await you at Dunton Hot Springs, and a good spot is Big Hell Canyon. Pease Point is an out of the ordinary spot to stop by while at Aspen Reservoir; Aspen Reservoir is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, West Dolores Campground is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Mesa Verde National Park is a great national park, unsurprisingly you could also go to Sunshine Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all.

| | This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a great choice, and Aspen Reservoir is right by the Stoner Mesa Trail. Camping at Mavreeso Campground is always a brilliant experience. Cub Spring is a delightful local attraction; don't forget to take a delightful little visit to Cub Creek. Trail offers hiking at its best. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Aspen Reservoir. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's while Aspen Reservoir
night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. From a precipitation point of view Aspen Reservoir is a relatively common place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months

 | 16 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
