If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Aspen Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Aspen Lake has to offer, you can camp at Springdale Campground; you'll meet a lot of people from Colorado Springs here. Aspen Lake is mostly a reasonably waterless spot; the month with most of the rain is July; January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Schubarth

If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great earth it would be. Stay the night at Promontory Campground, and Aspen Lake Dam is a stunning site. Through the summertime at Aspen Lake highs are usually in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. is without doubt a pleasant place to take a look at, and needless to say, this is a great area for people who like lakes, Aspen Lake Reservoir is a lake close by.
Hiking along the Balanced Rock Trail is nice fun, and a delightful
close by hotel is Country Lodge. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Front Range. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a great local destination here at Aspen Lake; after a long day outdoors The Cliff House
Hotel at Pikes Peak is a good spot to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. An afternoon playing golf at Shining Mountain Golf Club is always a bliss; do take a hike on the Stanley Canyon Trail.
