     Kendall Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff; Lake of the Pines Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. Aspaas Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a perfect time. There are fine places to look at along the Circle Trail, and Aspaas Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Haviland Lake Campground is a fine place to camp nearby.

   cool stuff in one place! Aspaas Lake is peerless!. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Silverton; why not a little side journey to Cascade Creek. Go for a hike on the East Fork Trail, and you'll in all probability meet some people from Durango here.
All through the warm months at Aspaas Lake highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 30's,
 
               and night lows in the 0's for Aspaas Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Canyon Creek near Aspaas Lake, and if you're here, you could also stop at lovely Papoose Lake. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. Going for a hike on the Highline Trail is always a pleasant adventure; get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Animas River.
An average amount of rain falls at Aspaas Lake; most of the rain falls all through August, and June is when it's the driest. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. A brilliant close by hotel is Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts, and Purgatory Campground is a delightful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at Ignacio Lake right next door to Aspaas Lake, it's a striking lake; after a long day outdoors Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
