If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Aspaas Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Silverton is a good local ski area, and after a long day outdoors Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a wonderful site to spend a night or two. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do close to Aspaas Lake. A good place for whitewater paddling close to Aspaas Lake is Canyon Creek; Aspaas Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Purgatory Campground

| | is a good local campground. A nice location to camp here at Aspaas Lake is Haviland Lake Campground; everybody nearby loves skiing at Kendall Mountain.
This lake is so wonderful. During your visit to Aspaas Lake you'll meet some folks from Durango for sure, and there's glorious hiking along the Highline Trail. Don't forget to take a delightful little tour to Cascade Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Aspaas Lake; Circle Trail is a great local | |

But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. Why not visit Lake of the Pines Dam since you're here, and needless to say, this is a great area
for folks who like lakes, Columbine Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Aspaas Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows through
the winter for Aspaas Lake tend to be in the 0's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the East Fork Trail.
A common amount of precipitation falls here at Aspaas Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of
the months is June. Having a great time in the San Juan Mountains is simple. Cascade Village is a great spot to get some rest; you can run the rapids of Animas River.
