A perfect location to check out in close proximity to Ashland Reservoir is Dry Gulch. Lakes are fine; Sloans Lake is a lake that's next to Ashland Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, South Platte River offers some splendid whitewater, and there       are some great whitewater spots on Bear Creek. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do near Ashland Reservoir. The summit of Inspiration Point can be distinguished from Ashland Reservoir, and an afternoon playing golf at Willis Case Golf Course is always a bliss. On a pleasant day at Ashland Reservoir you can take a hike along the Beaver Brook Trail.
