     Summer at Arrow Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Arrow Lake. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Arrow Lake is pretty dry ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is June. There's
 
   just no way someone can get bored here at Arrow Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Silverton if you're here; a tremendous nearby hotel is Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts. This lake is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Animas River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Arrow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Red Mountain Motel and RV Park.

               The San Juan and Jemez Mountains is so good! Skiing at Kendall Mountain is one of those things you just must do; nearby you discover the Brooklyn Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Garfield Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mineral Creek - South. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Arrow Lake called the Deer Park Trail; if you need a place to stay Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a fine choice.
This lake is so wonderful. The Whitehead Trail is a fine hiking trail next to Arrow Lake, and you can stay the night at Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals. Arrow Peak can be distinguished from Arrow Lake; needless to say, this is a delightful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Vestal Lake is a lake in the vicinity.
