Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dolores River, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the McPhee Stock Trail. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fence Line Reservoir is near Arnold Reservoir, and if you've had enough of Arnold Reservoir, Ancil Reservoir is       close by. This lake is so wonderful. Any time is a good time at Arnold Reservoir if you have a thing about the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Dunton Hot Springs is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Alkali Canyon is a fine place to spend some time at; if the weather is beautiful, you get a fine vista of Ormiston Point from Arnold                  Reservoir. Arnold Reservoir is regularly a rather arid site; October is the month that gets the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. During the summer here at Arnold Reservoir, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Arnold Reservoir descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
