Near Arch Slough you hit upon the Crag Crest Trail which is a fine hiking trail; great skiing awaits you at Powderhorn. Arch Slough is regularly a quite dehydrated place; most of the rain falls through October, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a wonderful site to spend a night or two, and there are magnificent spots to explore       along the Lily Lake Trail. Be careful coming to Arch Slough, you might not ever wanna return home again. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Delta, and Arch Slough Dam is lovely. Stay the night at Carp Lake Campground, and going for a hike on the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warmest time of the year at Arch Slough temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's.                  Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Arch Slough temperatures plunge to the 10's. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Kannah Creek, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Arch Slough Reservoir is one of those close by. This is a nice neighborhood for people who like lakes. Alexander Lake is a lake close by, and Arch Slough is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Ward Lake Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby.
