Sure, Clayton Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Village Condominiums is a glorious place to get some rest; camping at Midland Campground is always a great experience. A splendid location to camp here at Arapaho Lakes is Buckingham Campground, and while you're here, you might as well stop at Riflesight       Notch. From Arapaho Lakes you obtain a pleasant panorama of Mount Epworth, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Berthoud Pass is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along the James Peak Lake Trail; if you've had enough of Arapaho Lakes, Crater Lakes is nearby. A great place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Arapaho Lakes is Clear Creek - West Fork. The King Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids                  of Boulder Creek. All through the days of summer here at Arapaho Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's.
