High temperatures at Arapaho Lakes during the summer are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Arapaho Lakes night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. There are other places here than Arapaho Lakes, for example Jenny Lake, and Midland Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Winter Park is a very popular       ski area in close proximity; a glorious close by hotel is Iron Horse Resort. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek - West Fork. Arapaho Lakes gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. After a long day outdoors Beaver Village Condominiums is a pleasant site to spend a night or two; a great place for whitewater                  paddling is Boulder Creek. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Head up to Berthoud Pass and strap some skis to your feet, and you can stay the night at Buckingham Campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Arapaho Lakes you can take a hike along the King Lake Trail; Riflesight Notch is another fine location to check out nearby. While you're here at Arapaho Lakes you can take a hike along the James Peak Lake Trail, and lakes are such serene locations, why not stop by Betty Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the South Boulder Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and one of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of Arapaho Lakes is Mount Epworth.   Iron Horse Resort, Winter Park 6 miles away The Iron Horse Resort is conveniently located at the base of Winter Park Resort.
