Going for a hike on the Newcomb Creek Trail is       always a glorious adventure, and Aqua Fria Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Summit Lake Campground is a glorious local campground. Aqua Fria Reservoir is ordinarily a rather dehydrated place; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that snows the most; August on the other hand is the driest. If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy Aqua Fria Reservoir. If you came to camp Grizzly Creek Campground is a great                  spot to do that, and a lake close by is Agua Fria Lake. Man, is there a load of enjoyable stuff to do in the Park Range. After a long day outdoors Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a fine place to spend a night or two; there are good places to look at along the Lost Ranger Trail. Steamboat is a very popular ski area nearby; close by you stumble on the Rainbow Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Elk River for all you adrenaline people; Aqua Fria Reservoir is not the only location nearby, Rainbow Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Howelsen Hill and strap some skis to your feet. There's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Aqua Fria Dam right next door to Aqua Fria Reservoir, and a good nearby hotel is Winterwood Townhomes.
