If you came for an overnight stay Steamboat Springs Koa Steamboat Springs Koa is a pleasant place to camp, and there's always Apple Dam to stop at in the neighborhood of Apple Dam Reservoir.       This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Elk River, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Red Dirt Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Apple Dam Reservoir you can play some golf at Steamboat Golf Club, and a delightful nearby hotel is Rabbit Ears Motel. Through the summertime highs here at Apple Dam Reservoir get into the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's.
