Apache Lake is one of the lakes here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Through the summer at Apache Lake highs are mostly in the 80's; the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Apache Lake tend to be in the 0's. Apache Lake is typically a reasonably dry spot; July is when you get the most rain here,       and the driest month of the year is January. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are really bountiful here at Apache Lake. The scenery at Nakomis Lake Dam close to Apache Lake is pretty, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the North Lone Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Cache La Poudre River, and Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest is a tremendous campground nearby. Having a splendid time in the                  Medicine Bow Mountains is painless. Bellaire Lake Campground is a great local campground; the Killpecker Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. A pleasant nearby hotel is Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. This is a glorious area for people who like lakes. Red Feather Lake is a lake around here; since you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Fox Acres Country Club. Nearby lakes?
