This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Annie Lakes you can take a hike along the Deer Park Trail. There's so much to do here at Annie Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Vallecito Campground is a great place for that. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long       day outdoors Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a great location to spend a night or two; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Whitehead Trail. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Vallecito Creek, and you can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Kendall Mountain. There's whitewater on Animas River for all you adrenaline people, and a                  glorious view of wonderful Buffalo Peak is available. So many cool things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. You'll come across a stunning lake called Betty Lake near Annie Lakes, and if you came to camp Blue Spruce Trailer Park is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. During the summer here at Annie Lakes, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Annie Lakes tend to be in the 0's. Do explore Lake Mary Alice next to Annie Lakes, it's a charming lake, and skiing at Silverton is one of those things you just must do.
