Many people like to go to Annie Lakes. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Annie Lakes, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Annie Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the San Juan Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Vallecito Creek offers some splendid whitewater; why not camp at Vallecito Campground if you're here at Annie Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Silverton is
just what you need, and going for a hike on the Whitehead Trail is always a great adventure. Camping at Annie Lakes is good fun, Blue Spruce Trailer Park is a good local campground, and if you need a place to stay Cascade Village
is a nice choice. Annie Lakes is a location that is pretty dried out frequently; the month with most of the rain is August while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
