A visit to Anglemeyer Lake is always a good idea. The slopes of Monarch are so inviting noone can resist; hiking is a popular thing to do around Anglemeyer Lake; Horn Fork Trail is a great local trail. Drift down the rapids of Arkansas River in a kayak, and while you're here at Anglemeyer Lake it's a good idea to take a look at Horn Fork Basin. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Sawatch Range. Ski Cooper is a tremendous

| | local ski area, and paddling on Clear Creek is so much fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Birthday Peak can be spotted from Anglemeyer Lake, and why not camp at Hughes Meadow Campground if you're here at Anglemeyer Lake. Anglemeyer Lake is pretty dry regularly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range.

here at Anglemeyer Lake; it's close by. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Camping at Anglemeyer Lake is fine fun, Colt Spring Campground is a fine local campground, and why not take a refreshing
hike along the Texas Creek Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Anglemeyer Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. For the duration of the winter the highs are usually in the 20's, and after the sun
is down through the wintertime temperatures at Anglemeyer Lake drop into the-10's.
And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more enjoyable stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. If you need a site to stay Best Western Vista Inn
is a wonderful choice, and do check out Horn Fork Creek since you're here at Anglemeyer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Buena Vista Super 8 Motel; the South Pine Creek Trail offers hiking at its best.
