It's always fun to stop by Andrews Lake. It is very dried out here at Andrews Lake mostly; the month with most of the rain is August while June is generally the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This location rocks, just check out all the exciting things to do next to Andrews Lake.
So many fun things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not sufficient time. There's some interesting stuff to spot at Duck

| | Slough Dam close to Andrews Lake; Lime Creek Campground is a delightful local campground. If you need a place to stay Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a good choice, and the Whitehead Trail is a good hiking trail close by. The sight of Snowdon Peak from Andrews Lake is wonderful, and Andrews Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Molas Lake Park is a good location to camp nearby.

time. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Kendall Mountain is in the neighborhood of Andrews Lake, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Deer Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain
Resorts is a wonderful place to get some rest, and you can run the rapids of Lime Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Silverton is just what you need, and nearby you find brilliant spots like Molas Pass.
You're
perhaps addicted to lakes, Little Molas Lake is one of those nearby; close by you stumble on the Brooklyn Trail which is a great hiking trail. During the summer at Andrews Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Summer night lows sink
down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Andrews Lake. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Lakes are magnificent; Molas Lake is a lake that's close to Andrews Lake; Animas River is a great whitewater spot close by.
