Andrews Lake is a lake worth visiting. Be careful coming to the San Juan Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Red Mountain Motel & RV Park is a nice place to get some rest, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Deer Park Trail. If you need a site to stay Canyon View Motel is a tremendous choice. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Andrews Lake is unbeatable! Going for a hike on the Whitehead Trail is always a great adventure,

Summer brings highs in the 70's to Andrews Lake. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Andrews Lake. Stay the night at Lime Creek Campground, and the snow is perfect at Silverton. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the San Juan Mountains has it all. You could also go to Little Molas Lake if you're here at Andrews Lake; it's close by, and you could always
explore Molas Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Lime Creek, and at Duck Slough Dam next to Andrews Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see. Andrews Lake is usually a quite dried up location;
of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything
Andrews Lake has to offer, you can camp at Molas Lake Park; there are magnificent places to look at along the Brooklyn Trail.
