Anderson Reservoir is pretty dry mostly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Rio Costilla Park; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Ski Rio. If you came for an       overnight stay Sheep Crossing Campground is a good place to camp; since you're here, you could also take a look at lovely Eastdale Reservoir Number 1. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Red River. Summertime highs at Anderson Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's.
