Lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Ruby Lakes near Anderson Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company is a perfect place to get some rest; what would winter be without some skiing at Aspen Highlands. Yeah, come here to Anderson Lake for a pleasant time. Going for a hike along the Timberline Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Anderson Lake       is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Portal Campground is a nice local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Sawatch Range. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling close to Anderson Lake is Lake Creek; you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Petroleum Lake. Dry warm beds await you at VillaHotel Bears Creek; if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a pleasant panorama of Larson Peak from Anderson Lake. All year is a fine                  time in the Sawatch Range if you adore the outdoors. If the weather is great here at Anderson Lake, you can go for a hike along the Matchless Trail, and Roaring Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by. It is very dried up here at Anderson Lake frequently; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot to camp here at Anderson Lake is Dorchester Campground, and don't forget to take a good little journey to Galena Creek. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Anderson Lake with overnight lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; night lows at Anderson Lake throughout the winter usually plunge into the 0's.
