Nearby lakes? Sure, Cathedral Lake is in the neighborhood of American Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Edwards here at American Lake. Yeah, come here to American Lake for a splendid time. Hit the slopes at Aspen Mountain nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Alpenblick by ResortQuest. High temperatures at American Lake through the summertime months are in the 70's,       and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for American Lake. The Star Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of American Lake, and after a long day outdoors The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company is a good location to spend a night or two. American Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Pine Creek Campground is a good spot to camp nearby;                  if you come at the right time of year, Roaring Fork offers some nice whitewater. If you're here at American Lake, you could visit Pine Creek, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Silver Dollar Pond is one of those close by. American Lake is pretty waterless typically; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Aspen Highlands, and at American Lake you can see Hayden Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Electric Pass is a good place to stop by nearby, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Trail Riders Trail. This place, American Lake, it definitely has so much outdoors cool stuff.
