Island Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Highline Trail. Don’t forget to have a look at Ice Lake Basin since you're here at Alta Reservoir Number 1, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Sheep Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Alta Reservoir Number 1 has to offer, you can camp at South Mineral Campground; there's whitewater on Mineral Creek - South for all you adrenaline kick people. up to Silverton and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of Golden Horn from Alta Reservoir Number 1 is gorgeous, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Telluride. If
you get bored of Alta Reservoir Number 1, you could also stop by nearby Ice Lake. There's so much to do here at Alta Reservoir Number 1 that you need to camp here for a while, Riverwood Inn and RV Park is a magnificent spot for that.
So much enjoyable stuff right next door to Alta Reservoir Number 1, clearly striking. If you need a site to stay The Ice House Lodge is a good choice, and the Brooklyn Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Chapman Gulch is a
wonderful place to spend some time at, and do put some time aside to spend at Iron Spring while you're here at Alta Reservoir Number 1. For the period of the days of summer here at Alta Reservoir Number 1, high temperatures regularly
reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Alta Reservoir Number 1 fall into the 0's.
