Go to Allen Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. A good spot close to Allen Reservoir is Allen Draw It's always wonderful to explore Cy Orr Spring. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Allen Reservoir while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. This lake is so wonderful. Allen Reservoir gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the driest. At Allen Reservoir you always meet someone from Montrose; hiking is a popular thing to do around Allen Reservoir; Cottonwood Trail is a good local trail.

while you're here at Allen Reservoir. Good hiking is available along the Telephone Draw Trail, and if you need a place to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a perfect choice.
