If you came to camp Baughn Lake Campground is a delightful place to do that, and it's a great idea to stop at Allen Basin District Ditch. At Allen Basin Reservoir during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Allen Basin Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the South Derby Trail, and

| | you're in all probability interested in lakes, Crosho Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
You can take a little journey to Allen Basin Dam while you're here at Allen Basin Reservoir; don't leave Allen Basin Reservoir without first going for a hike along the High Trail. A perfect close by hotel is Oak Tree Inn Yampa, and at Allen Basin Reservoir you can distinguish Bellyache Mountain. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just | |

come on down to Allen Basin Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Allen Basin Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Stagecoach is a tremendous site for that, and Fairfield Inn & Suites Steamboat Springs is a good spot
to get some rest.
There are fine sites to discover along the Ute Trail; if you've had enough of Allen Basin Reservoir, Simon Reservoir Number 1 is close by. Allen Basin Reservoir is pretty dry commonly; through March this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is June.

 | I fished last year and am coming back next week to fish again. It is very nice to fish from a boat or bank, but I prefer boat....Wife and I where fishing Stagecoach, then we heard of Yamcolo, it was about 20 mins out of Yampa. We came around the corner of the earthen dam side, looked down the fish where jumpin all over the place grabbed the poles and it was off to the rodoe,15 fish as fast as we could 45min past sorry did not have camera going back this year in couple of weeks can't wait New Castle Colo, Apple Tree Park... |
