During the months of summer at Alford Lakes highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's while Alford Lakes nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Lake Loveland is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some wonderful whitewater.       You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Alford Lakes. Do go to Rollers Lake close to Alford Lakes, it's a striking lake, and there's some flowing water close by, Dry Creek is a stream you can visit while here. Soar down the rapids of Big Thompson River in a kayak, and you'll meet a lot of people from Fort Collins-Loveland here. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Camp Dick - Arapaho National Forest; the Jug Trail offers hiking                  at its best. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Cattail Creek Golf Course is in the vicinity; hiking is a popular thing to do around Alford Lakes; Round Mountain Trail is a brilliant local trail. Alford Lakes is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Boyd Lake is a perfect place to camp nearby; a wonderful nearby hotel is Quality Inn Loveland. If you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn & Suites Loveland is a fine choice, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Wintersteen Trail.
