This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something next to Alexander Reservoir? Mock Reservoir Number 2 is close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Uncompahgre River offers some nice whitewater. Not far from Alexander Reservoir you obtain some good water scenery at Alexander Dam, and going for a hike on       the Spring Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites, and Lindsay Canyon is around here, and is a great place. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Alexander Reservoir, high temperatures frequently get into the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the                  dark hours in the winter at Alexander Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's. Just can't get enough of Alexander Reservoir. Montrose RV park is a perfect campground nearby, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Cobble Creek Golf Course. Not much rain falls here at Alexander Reservoir; October is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. And that's not everything you can do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. If you need a place to stay Hampton Inn Montrose is a nice choice, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Gunnison River. Nearby lakes?
