At Alexander Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Alexander Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Alexander Lake is pretty dried up typically;       all through October this area sees the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. What would winter be without some skiing at Powderhorn, and a lake close by is Skinned Horse Reservoir. Camping at Ward Lake Campground is always a splendid experience, and magnificent water scenery is available at Alexander Lake Dam next to Alexander Lake. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a great place to spend a night or two, and close                  by you come across the Lily Lake Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Delta; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Crag Crest Trail. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Alexander Lake.
