Alexander Lake Dam has glorious water scenery and it's right next door to Alexander Lake; Comfort Inn Delta is a nice site to get some rest. A great close by hotel       is Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge, and going for a hike on the Lily Lake Trail is always a great adventure. A brilliant site to camp here at Alexander Lake is Ward Lake Campground, and you can hit the slopes at Powderhorn in the neighborhood. Lakes? Sure, Skinned Horse Reservoir is in close proximity, and nearby you find the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Kannah Creek has a delightful whitewater                  paddling spot close by; there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Crag Crest Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Alexander Lake you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is October, and January meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the days of summer here at Alexander Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
