And that's not all you can do here at Alberta Park Reservoir. Going for a hike along the Silver Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you need a location to stay The Spruce Lodge is a tremendous choice. Alberta  
   Park Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If the weather is pleasant here at Alberta Park Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Hot Creek Stock Driveway, and nearby you locate brilliant places like Railroad Pass. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts. Please respect the property line and stay on public lands. Other than that enjoy your time in CO and happy rafting....

I was raised near this lake and when a child we had to pack horses into this lake. It is not near any campgrounds, and it's over 25 miles to town, not 18. It gets way colder than 0 in the winter but the views are almost correct.  It IS beautiful!...
