Alberta Park Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Alberta Park Reservoir is pretty arid commonly; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month is June. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Alberta Park is a pretty place any time of year, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Treasure Mountain Trail. Inn and Suites is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wolf Creek; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Hot Creek Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the
right time of year, San Juan River - East Fork offers some tremendous whitewater; if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Silver Creek Trail. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
Since you're here at Alberta Park Reservoir why not stop at Railroad Pass. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Alberta Park Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Park Creek Campground. Through the warmest time
of the year at Alberta Park Reservoir highs are frequently in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Alberta Park Reservoir temperatures sink to the-10's.
