The beauty of Alan Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Clear Creek near Alan Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a nice spot to get some rest. And if that's not enough there's lots more fun things to do in the Sawatch Range. Really great skiing awaits you at Ski Cooper, and going for a hike on the Timberline Trail is always a delightful adventure.

| | Around Alan Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Lake Creek, and there are good spots to look at along the Mount Elbert Trail. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. The peak of Virginia Peak can be observed from Alan Lake, and Church Basin is a fine location to stretch your legs a bit.

at Parry Peak Campground is always a good experience, and don't leave Alan Lake without first going for a hike along the Main Range Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company
is a great choice. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you came to camp Twin Peaks Campground is a magnificent place to do that, and do visit Lake Ann, it's a lovely lake.
For the duration of the summer highs
here at Alan Lake reach the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Alan Lake.
