Summertime highs at Akin Reservoir generally tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Akin Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. At Akin Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is when it's the driest.       Yeah, come here to Akin Reservoir for a great time. Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a good location to get some rest; obviously, this is a nice area for people who like lakes, Dry Lake is a lake in close proximity. Going for a hike on the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway is always a great adventure; don't forget to take a great little tour to West Dolores River. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Akin Reservoir called                  the Stoner Stock Trail, and Akin Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Emerson Campground is a brilliant local campground. Coalbank Spring is an inspiring place to check out during your stay, and if you're here, you might as well stop at Cox Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are fine locations to have a look at, and Mesa Verde National Park is no exception. A wonderful nearby hotel is Dunton Hot Springs, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Dolores River. Go for a hike on the Eagle Peak Trail.
