Julie: located at the foot of Blair Mountain Adams Lake is well worth the trip. Definatly a 4 wheel drive Jeep Trail but only a few miles from Elk lakes, Jet lake, Shadow Lake, Blair lakes , Crater Lake, Deep lake and bison lake. Lots of Cut throat trout, rainbows and browns. Most deffinatly more than a one day trip. Always plan for all kinds of weather, and definitely tent camping only.

 | 17 miles away I've been going to Yampa since I was around 5 years of age. I'm not usually too keen on seeing new hotels being established in sleepy mountain towns, but The Oak Tree Inn is an exception.
