This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Inn of the Rio Grande Hotel and Conference Ctr, and Dry Lakes is a glorious lake nearby. Camping at Navajo Trail Campground is always a fine experience, and a short visit to Upper Duhme Springs is always worthwhile. After a long day outdoors Alamosa-Days Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and an afternoon playing       golf at Alamosa Golf Club is always a pleasure. Having a great time at Adams Lake is painless. Do pay a visit to Great Sand Dunes National Monument since you're here at Adams Lake. Camping is available at Alamosa Koa Kampground. Lakes? Sure, Stout Creek Lakes is around here. Adams Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is January. Summer at Adams Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's                  while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's.
