Abbot Reservoir is commonly a pretty waterless site; the month       of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is June. Do pop by Roy Reservoir in the neighborhood of Abbot Reservoir, it's a pretty lake, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the McPhee Stock Trail. After a long day outdoors National 9 Inn - Sand Canyon is a good place to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Mc Phee Mobile Home and RV Park. Throughout the summer months highs here at Abbot Reservoir                  get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Abbot Reservoir. Going for a hike along the Stoner Stock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and glide down the rapids of Dolores River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Flatiron Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by. This lake is so wonderful.
