It's always fun to stop by Woods Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A nice spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Woods Lake is Mokelumne River - North Fork; nearby you hit upon Carson Pass which is a perfect spot to go to. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A stunning lake like Fourth of July Lake near Woods Lake is a perfect site to pop by. There's so much to do here

| | at Woods Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Caples Lake Campground is a good site for that. Good hiking is available along the Burnside Lake Trail; the skiing at Sierra at Tahoe is nice. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. All the water falling down from the sky makes Woods Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month is July. there's heaps more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail is always a perfect adventure, and you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here. So many
entertaining things right next door to Woods Lake, definitely remarkable. The summit of Black Butte can be seen from Woods Lake, and some nearby water includes Emigrant Creek. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at
Woods Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures
at Woods Lake descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Charity Valley Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Woods Lake has to offer, you can camp at Woods Lake Campground. A day on
the slopes of Kirkwood is just what you need, and if you're interested in cool geologic highlights try Kit Carson.
