What would winter be without some skiing at Kirkwood, and not far from Woods Lake you'll discover Round Top Lake which is a pretty lake. Woods Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. These mountains rock, just check out all the fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A quick journey to Emigrant Creek near Woods Lake is a wonderful idea; while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Gardnerville Ranchos. Fork in a kayak, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Hawley Grade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You need to stop by Kit Carson while you're here at Woods Lake, and delightful scenery and great skiing is what
you acquire at Sierra at Tahoe. Get wet paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail. Summertime highs at Woods Lake usually tend to be in the 70's, and during the
night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Woods Lake tend to be in the 10's. Any time is a good time at Woods Lake if you like the outdoors.
Black Butte is uncomplicated to spot from Woods Lake, and if you need a location to stay The Meadow is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Mountain Club, and since you're here you can take a hike
along the Charity Valley Trail. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is bountiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Woods Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Caples Lake Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Winnemucca Lake is close at hand.
