     The amount of precipitation that falls at Wilson Reservoir is close to the national average; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Goat Ranch Campground is always a nice experience, and there are other sites here than Wilson Reservoir, for example Morgan Reservoir. A wonderful location to camp here at Wilson Reservoir is Feather West Travel Trailer, and there are some magnificent  
   whitewater spots on Feather River - North Fork.
Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a magnificent time. Spring Valley Gulch is a great place to look at It's always good to explore Dutch Pete Spring. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the neighborhood of Wilson Reservoir. Days Inn Oroville is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of people from Chico here. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.
 
               Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return back home again. For you golfers we recommend close by Kelly Ridge Golf Course; the sight of North Table Mountain is wonderful. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Wilson Reservoir. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Wilson Reservoir dip into the 30's.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Butte Creek, and a visit to Campbell Flat revitalizes the spirit. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Littlefield Reservoir near Wilson Reservoir, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Central is a pleasant choice.

... small, with poor fishing. It has a small dock, an indoor gun range, a humble yet awesome space observatory, and the golf course running behind all of it. Also bathrooms,  parking, water, dog poop bags, line recyclers. On the Lake's side of the road, it is legal to have your dog off-leash as long as he is 'under control'. Local dogs love it here and they all seem very friendly. The real beauty is the surrounding area of Bidwell Park. The trails going from there into Upper Park, run along both sides of the creek, and make for a very easy walk. There's fantastic scenery as you get closer to Salmon Hole, a very popular swimming spot, but the ''climb'' down to those calm waters amid the turbulent creek is a little steep for children and less sure footed people. Stick along the edge of the canyon as it gradually rises and you'll be treated to a nice sunset over the way you just came, with the winding canyon and it's white waters.
