Walnut Flat is right here at Wild Lake; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Wild Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Wild Lake, you could also go to close by Deer Lake, and there's whitewater on Putah Creek       for all you adrenaline kick people. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Napa River, and The Beehive is a peak you can see from Wild Lake. Cooksley Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; since you're here and you like golf, you can go to Aetna Springs Golf Course. A fine close by hotel is Ambrose Bierce House. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Swartz Canyon is always fun; camping at Ritchey Creek Campground is always a                  good experience. Just can't get enough of Wild Lake. If you need a place to stay Calistoga Ranch is a great choice, and do put some time aside to spend at Cold Spring since you're here at Wild Lake. If you came to camp Bothe Napa Valley State Park is a tremendous spot to do that, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Napa for sure. Through the days of summer highs here at Wild Lake get into the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
